Well there are now four of us! Tom and I have been married 6 1/2 years. Elliana joined us almost 4 ago, and we welcomed our 2nd daughter Phoebe 8 months ago! Tom's a 4th year Medical Student, and I do a bit of everything. This is our journey through life.

Hammond's Candy Factory
So there is this great place in Denver called Hammond's Candy Factory, and as the name suggests, they make candy! It's divine! They make all their candy by hand and ship it all around the world. Every Christmas they donate more than 1 million Candy Canes to Santa. They have 9 candy makers that work all the time, training to be a candy maker is at least 1 year and up to 3! Clearly a career, not just a job...It is so fun, if you are ever here, you should go...it's free, they give you samples and then you can buy the delicious stuff! They also package, wrap and ship all their own stuff! SO cool, no one does that anymore...all by hand!!!

I've always loved seeing how things are made and I love Unwrapped on the food network. They once showed another candy place where a Lollyologist made the candy that has shapes or words inside the round candy. It was all hand done and amazing to watch. When I was a kid we went to the Denver mint and the Budweiser factory near Denver. The Budweiser factory was smelly but interesting and gave free samples (or soda). The mint was amazingly loud, but fascinating. I bet there's a lot of other factory's to tour, but you'll at least have to go to the mint sometime!
